BISS List

I designed and developed this website for BISS List to display their event listings and concert calendar. Users and venues can submit events through a form on the front end and shows that are approved will appear on the site. The event listings, calendar and advertisements are all dynamically displayed on the website using custom PHP and JavaScript.

When covid-19 hit the United States and live music events were no longer taking place I had to re-develop the website and page templates to accommodate streaming music channels rather than live events.

Launch website

I developed the WordPress backend (using custom post types and Advanced Custom Fields) so BISS List staff members can enter and update events and advertisements for the site. Within WordPress, BISS List staff can determine if shows are featured, Best of BISS and or have free ticket giveaways. Based on this data the events are displayed in the appropriate section on the site with this information displayed.

Each event is also displayed on its own page with additional event details. If users can win tickets to select events, rules about contest entry and the ability to share the page over social media are added to the event page.
